How to Identify Samsung Washing Machine Error Codes

Error or Fault Codes that show up on the display of your Samsung washing machine are not there to frighten you – they’re useful indicators that something is wrong that needs putting right.

When you see an error code on your Samsung washing machine it could well be something you can fix yourself, but if not, you’ll need to call in a qualified repair engineer from a company like Service 87, who are the laundry appliance repair experts covering the GU & RG postcode districts in the Hampshire/Surrey border area, along the A31 corridor.
Let Service 87 know as soon as you notice an error code on your Samsung washing machine and we’ll arrange to come to effect prompt, professional repairs. Book a repair time slot online, or by phone, and we’ll send you a link enabling you to track the engineer until he gets to you to solve your Samsung washing machine error code problem.

Samsung error codes can be confusing, and they’re not much use for troubleshooting if you don’t know what they mean. We’ve therefore put together a guide to Samsung washing machine error codes, which generally consist of the letter “E” or “F” followed by a two-digit number. Some older Samsung washing machines may simply alert you to a problem with flashing lights on the front panel.

Samsung Error Codes

1E/E7
Water level sensor issue. Check the water level sensor and hose connections. Ensure no blockages.

3E/EA/3C
Motor defect or tacho sensor error. Check motor connections, ensure the drum rotates freely, and inspect the tacho sensor.

4C/4E
Water supply issue. Verify water taps are open, hoses aren’t kinked, and filters are clean.

5C/5E
Drainage issue. Check the drain pump, hose, and filter for clogs or blockages.
